Showcasing A Powerful Industry Collaboration
Video Production, Film, Website & Game
The Association of Liverpool City Region Colleges (ALCRC) approached us with the challenge of showcasing how their member colleges (Hugh Baird, Southport Education group, The City of Liverpool College, Knowsley Community College, Riverside College, St Helen’s College and Wirral Met College) build meaningful relationships with industry.

The goal was to create a microsite and video content that would highlight how these collabs are embedded into curricula, preparing students for work-ready careers. The brief was clear: demonstrate how the colleges are addressing real-world industry needs and creating job opportunities in the Liverpool City Region (LCR).

Our approach was simple and collaborative. We had a vision – we just had to make it happen. With multiple stakeholders involved, we worked closely with college heads, industry professionals and key decision-makers to capture authentic content.
We coordinated interviews with leaders such as Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and Sue Higginson OBE, Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside; as well as industry representatives, ensuring we captured the most compelling stories. Our team made sure everyone was confident, comfortable and spoke naturally. One of the subjects wanted to talk from a script, but we made her believe she had the confidence to do it naturally. When we threw away the script, she was able to speak more authentically and with fluidity.
The content was authentic, showcasing the colleges’ commitment to producing highly skilled, work-ready grads.

“The important thing for me is that they were flexible. You can have a conversation, things emerge mid-project, and they were very supportive of that. That’s why I recommend them, not just for their creativity but their partnership approach.”
